2009 SSI Settlement Information The Social Security Administration has agreed to repay people whose benefits have been suspended or denied since January 1, 2007 based on the mere existence of an outstanding arrest warrant. Over 200,000 people whose benefits have been suspended or denied since January 1, 2000 are potentially eligible for retroactive benefits in varying amounts; approximately 80,000 are potentially eligible for full retroactive reinstatement of benefits totaling over $500 million.
