EXITTo help address housing insecurity with the COVID-19 pandemic, the state of California implemented a number of housing relief measures, including financial assistance with unpaid rent. If you have unpaid rent since the pandemic began, you may be eligible to receive help from the state in taking care of those bills and making your landlord whole.
For help with the application process, or if you’re having trouble being approved when you believe you’re entitled to these benefits, join Inland Counties Legal Services for a Small Claims Back Rent Clinic. One of our attorneys or volunteers will help you resolve those issues to the best of their ability.
Those wishing to receive legal assistance from these clinics must go through our intake process and meet certain criteria in terms of income and assets. If you’re unsure whether you meet the criteria to become an ICLS client, we invite you to apply anyways! All clinics are virtual at this time.
