2026 Greetings from ICLS Executive Director, Tessie Solorzano

Tessie Solorzano speaking

Happy new year, friends!

I’d like to take a moment to thank each and every one of you. Your unwavering support throughout 2025 reverberates through our communities and carries us forward into 2026. Thank you for your dedication and support of ICLS’ mission and vision.

As you can imagine, 2026 is anticipated to be a year rife with additional challenges to our communities, and ICLS is ready to serve. We’re expanding assistance to nonprofit organizations, bolstering advocacy on behalf of client access to critical health care, and working hard to preserve public benefits that so many in our communities rely upon to put food on the table or keep a roof over their head.

To be sure, many of the folks that are impacted by recent changes in the law have due process rights but may not be aware of how to assert them. To that end, ICLS will increase community education and accessibility to services by leveraging our relationships with community partners and being actively out in the community, spreading the word about services, changes in the law, and what folks can do. Alone, these challenges may feel insurmountable. But through community, we are able make impactful change: one client; one community education presentation; one legal clinic at a time.

None of this would be possible without our dedicated and talented staff, board of directors, and volunteers. Thank you for your dedication and sharing your gifts with our community.

Wishing you resilience, rest, and joy… Onward to 2026!”
