ICLS Kicks Off 2024 Summer Law Clerk Program

Matt Kugizaki, Esq. welcoming summer 2024 law clerks

On Tuesday, ICLS welcomed ten talented law students from across the region to join the 2024 Summer Law Clerk Program. Each of the students will be embedded into an ICLS practice group or pro bono program, so they can gain real world experience in court and with clients.

Throughout the ten weeks, the law clerks will hear from ICLS senior leadership, ICLS practice group directors, staff attorneys, former law clerks, and other leaders in the legal community. They will see every stage of the court process, from client intakes to representation in court. They will learn the ins and outs of legal aid, what legal assistance can mean for low-income families, and how they can impact their neighbors as attorneys.

Most importantly, ICLS aims to set them up for success as they finish law school and beyond.

Please join us in welcoming our 2024 summer law student interns – Ash Khorasani, Jade Spallina, Joseph Madere, Kelly Houlihan, Lindsay Waters, Levi Bevis, Madison Thomas, Ryleigh Flores, Taylor Hawkins, and Victor Bao.

This program will offer our law clerks the chance to immerse themselves in a variety of legal aid activities and the opportunity to work alongside experienced legal professionals, gain hands-on experience, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of those ICLS serves.

We are eager to see the positive impact our summer law clerks will make and look forward to a productive and inspiring summer together.
