At ICLS, we understand the importance of community legal education. Knowing how a court process works, what your response requirements are when you receive a lawsuit, and your legal rights on a particular matter are all vital for people to participate fairly in the justice system.
But many in our communities lack access to clear, easy-to-understand information on legal issues. That’s why we’re proud to introduce our new “Justice on Demand: Legal Help Video Library,” a free resource designed to help our community navigate legal challenges that impact low-income Americans, seniors, and people with disabilities.
ICLS legal experts from across the organization participated in the creation of this video library, discussing in-depth some of the most pressing issues faced by our clients today. This project was made possible through a CalATJ Legal Aid Infrastructure & Innovation Grant, funded through the California Access to Justice Commission.
Our collection of videos covers essential legal topics, including but not limited to:
- Key issues for small businesses
- Evictions when you have subsidized housing
- Child Custody Mediation
- Housing Habitability
- Medi-Cal Appeals
- IRS Debt Disputes and Collection Alternatives
For many in our community, legal problems can feel overwhelming and impossible to tackle alone. Too often, people don’t seek help because they don’t know where to start. Our goal with this video library is simple: to make legal information accessible, understandable, and empowering. Whether you’re facing eviction, navigating a divorce, or dealing with debt collectors, we want you to have the tools you need to stand up for your rights.
Our Legal Education Video Library is available on YouTube and completely free. You can watch from your phone, computer, or tablet, whenever and wherever you need. Simply visit Inland Counties Legal Services – YouTube
