Through Outreach and Intake, ICLS strives to:

  • Provide options when it matters most;
  • Ensure that each applicant receives a thorough intake to determine how each applicant can be assisted;
  • Improve access to legal assistance for socially and economically disadvantaged people;
  • Assist and educate seniors regarding their rights and available resources.

The Intake Team is the first point of contact for potential clients. The Intake Team is professional, respectful and compassionate in obtaining basic information about each applicant and his or her legal matter to determine if the applicant is eligible for ICLS’s services. The Intake Team provides helpful information, screening of potential clients, meaningful referrals, and scheduling of appointments with ICLS advocates.

The Outreach Team provides community education, face-to-face legal advice, and brief services in locations other than Inland Counties Legal Services' offices, in an attempt to also assist seniors who are unable to access any of ICLS’s office locations. The outreach team focuses on seniors who are in the greatest social and economic need.
