On the third Wednesday of every month throughout 2022, Inland Counties Legal Services (ICLS) will host a virtual Small Business Clinic, providing free legal advice for eligible small businesses in the Inland Empire.
Starting and maintaining a successful business can be difficult in the best of circumstances, but with COVID-19, businesses have been facing an unprecedented amount of new, and evolving, business and legal challenges. And, while COVID-19 has impacted all businesses, small business owners face unique issues and often rely on their business for their livelihood.
ICLS’s Small Business Clinic is offered at no cost to eligible businesses, which is meant to ensure that our local businesses in the Inland Empire has access to legal assistance. Each business owner will meet one-on-one with an experienced business attorney, receive legal information specific to their business, and create an “attack plan” detailing potential legal issues and next steps to follow.
Participants at recent Small Business Clinics have received guidance on the following topics:
- Business formation and choice of corporate entity
- Business start-up matters
- Contract and/or commercial lease review
- Minimizing business liability through disclaimers and/or waivers
- Re-opening during COVID-19
- Employment issues
- And many others
At ICLS, we believe the community is strengthened by small business, and we want to support you by providing you the necessary tools to succeed.
Our next clinic will be held virtually on February 16th, 2022 from 1-4:00 pm.
